Earlier this week, Razvan Popa, our Project Coordinator EMEA took part in our series of interviews. Known for his sense of adventure, he's always fascinated by learning new things and meeting new people. We look forward to learning more about him!


If you could be a crayon, what colour would you be? What’s the meaning behind it?

I would be a white crayon because they are rarely used, and I could enjoy a long and peaceful crayon lifespan.


What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?

I am usually thinking about what song should I listen to next.


What’s your favourite ‘90s jam?

It’s hard to have a favourite here. To name a few, I would say Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ album, 2Pac’s ‘All Eyez on Me’ album, Nas’s ‘Illmatic’ album and so on.


What’s the last tv show you watched?

Vikings.


What are you known for?

I’m known for being an art enthusiast and a very genuine and straightforward person.


What’s the most interesting thing about you that it’s not put up in your resume?

I’m really good at partying 😉.


What’s your go-to productivity trick?

A good music selection.


What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

I would go to the nearest park, find a quiet place, set up my hammock, play some good music and open a cold beer.


What three words would your friends use to describe you? Why?

This is going to be more than three words, but one phrase I’ve been hearing a lot is “With friends like you, who needs enemies?”. It means that I’m doing a pretty good job as a friend. 😉


If you could add one thing to the DataDiggers office, what would it be?

I would hang paintings on the walls because the office really needs some.



What’s the first concert you ever went to?

It was a Romanian underground rap concert when I was 14.

I think it was either a Cedry2k or a Specii concert.


If you had to pick one age to be at permanently, which age would you choose? Why?

25, I’ve been experimenting with it for a few weeks, and it feels pretty good. 😊


If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?

A continuous journey to discover and improve myself’ – It is something that I strongly believe that everyone should strive for.


What was your first job?

I started working as a graphic designer at first, and then I transitioned towards project management.


What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

Public speaking is an area where I feel I’m lacking a lot and I would like to improve.


What do you do at DataDiggers and in what circumstances would I come to you for something?

I am working as a Project Coordinator and once a project is commissioned by the sales team, I am the one in charge of launching, fielding and closing it.


How do you prefer to start your day?

Music, shower, breakfast, coffee.


What’s one thing that surprised you about working at DataDiggers?

The office was on the 8th floor, and I didn’t know I am so bad with heights.


What’s your favourite place you’ve travelled to and why?

Waha. It’s a music festival in the Micfalau forest in Covasna, Romania, where it is no electricity or phone signal, and it’s a pretty good place to connect with nature and people.


Who is your hero?

G-Dragon.


If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

On the Moon.


What’s your favourite podcast show, and why should I listen to it?

Reality Check on YouTube. It’s a chill podcast with Romanian rappers where you can discover new music and learn about different artists and their creative processes.


What’s your favourite quote from a tv show/movie/book?

‘That’s what I do. I drink and I know things.’ – Tyrion Lannister


What’s the phone app you use the most?

I don’t use any.



How do you take your coffee/tea?

With lots of milk.


Do you have a work best friend? Who is it?

The bald guy that says he doesn’t need enemies with friends like me.


How do you pick yourself back up after making a mistake at work?

I work harder.


Have you ever had the “imposter syndrome”?

Nope, I might be a bit too overconfident, but I never doubt myself.


What’s the best thing you’ve learned in your current position?

To remain calm and think fast.


What’s the best clothing item you’ve ever bought?

A colourful Nike jacket from 1990 in perfect condition.


What’s the most stupid thing you’ve ever bought?

League of Legends skins.

Shawshank Redemption, Joker, Django Unchained, The Dictator, Jackass


What’s your motto?

Life's too short to stress about the little things.
