Desk research refers to the data collection of information that is already available in various sources, such as reports or statistics published in newspapers, magazines or on the Internet. Based on client’s objectives, the desk research experts gather such information and compile it into an easy-to-use format.


Depending on client’s requirements we can either run desk research stand-alone or as part of a larger project, along with primary research. When that happens, desk research is often run to help on drawing accurate research objectives. In terms of logistics, we only use carefully selected local partners that have experienced local staff in each country we cover, so that desk research is feasible for any country or language in Central and Eastern Europe.

Quality control

We employ several methods to ensure best quality for the data collected using in desk research projects:

  • Apart from the project manager that is in permanent contact with client, two senior level local supervisors work on each project, ensuring backup throughout the project and availability of a knowledgeable contact at all times
  • Project materials are proofed for translation by native speakers of each language, to make sure that client’s original goals are not missed due to poor translation
  • Deliverables are thoroughly checked by two different experienced analysts to ensure accuracy before they are sent over to client.
