Senior Researcher
Main task

Our company is looking for a skilled and experienced researcher, who ideally specializes in both quantitative and qualitative research.

The researcher will collect, analyse and evaluate data and information and present your findings to clients and key stakeholders in order to influence policy decisions.

Work schedule

Working hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. All official holidays excluded. Our office is located in Piata Victoriei Square, with easy access from any part of the city. Work from home can be an option from time to time, our management team is very flexible on this aspect.

Tasks
  1. Carry out quantitative or qualitative research

  2. Meet and consult clients about objectives and requirements of projects

  3. Follow instructions from your client about the nature of the research to be carried out

  4. Use an appropriate and creative methodology to design and manage a research project, which may involve the use of quantitative and/or qualitative methods and may include both pilot and development work

  5. Design and write questionnaires and surveys

  6. Apply a range of research techniques to gather relevant information, including document analysis, surveys, case studies and interviews (face-to-face, telephone, online/offline focus groups, diary, IDI, online etc.)

  7. Develop and test theories

  8. Liaise with and direct social research field interviewers to gather information

  9. Carry out information and data retrieval searches using electronic databases

  10. Analyze and evaluate research and interpret data using a range of statistical packages

  11. Gather information by directing or carrying out fieldwork

  12. Prepare, present and disseminate results in the form of reports, briefings, research papers and presentations

  13. Offer research-based briefings and advice, which may involve writing action plans

  14. Advise external bodies on social policy

  15. Prepare and present tenders for new research projects

  16. Participate at market research trade shows, seminars, conferences etc. and present our case
    studies

  17. Formulate a plan and present it to senior management or a client

  18. Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices

Requirements
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Statistics or Sociology along with demonstrable experience is required

  2. 5+ years experience in market research and sales

  3. Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or similar), databases and MS Office

  4. Project management skills to oversee all aspects of a research project right through from questionnaire design to the final report

  5. Possess search engine, web analytics, and business research tools skills

  6. Strong communication and presentation skills, both in written and verbal

  7. Report writing skills

  8. Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)

  9. Advise clients or senior management on the best ways to use provided data

  10. Strong analytical critical thinking

  11. Excellent numerical skills

  12. Creative

  13. Great problem-solving skills

  14. Deep knowledge of data warehousing, and mining

  15. Accuracy and attention to detail for handling data and reporting research findings

  16. A flexible approach to work, with the ability to work on several different research projects at once

  17. Organization skills, excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  18. Independent, self -driven person, wo takes his/her own decisions and coordinates with other departments for optimum results
